Your Complete Wedding Journey at The Gran Centurions

Every wedding at our Union County venue follows a timeline designed to remove guesswork. You’ll know what happens when, who handles each task, and how to stay on track from booking to your last dance.

Touring Our Ballrooms and Meeting Your Coordinator

Your journey starts at 440 Madison Hill Road in Clark, just off Garden State Parkway Exit 135. During your tour, you’ll walk through the Crystal Ballroom, Diamond Ballroom, Platinum Ballroom, and Tiffany Room. You’ll also see our gazebo and patio area, along with spaces couples often use for photos near Rahway River Park.

You’ll meet your dedicated coordinator during this visit. This person stays with you through the entire planning process, helping with lighting, linens, timelines, and vendor communication. You’ll also taste our scratch made pasta, including favorites like hand-rolled gnocchi and classic Sunday gravy.

Securing Your Date with Deposits and Contracts

Once you choose your ballroom and date, we’ll review the contract together. A non refundable deposit is due upon signing. For weddings, 50% of your balance comes due six months before your event, and full payment is required seven days prior. All checks go to Garry’s Catering, and we don’t accept personal checks.

We’ll explain key policies now. Your final guest count is due 14 days before the wedding. If you don’t update us and your count drops, you’re charged for the original number. We don’t allow decorations attached to walls or doors, and confetti is never permitted.

Building Your Menu Six Months Out

About six months before your wedding, you’ll meet with your coordinator to finalize your menu. This is when you select your hors d’oeuvres, stations, pasta, salad, entrées, sides, and cake. You’ll also confirm your bar package and note any dietary needs, including gluten free meals.

Cocktail Hour and Stations

You’ll choose your butler passed items and stationed displays, with the option to add specialty stations like Asian, Seafood, Raw Bar, Viennese, or Chocolate Fondue.

Dinner and Bar Selections

You’ll pick your pasta, salad, and three entrée choices, plus your vegetable, potato, and bar package. Premium upgrades are available.

Selecting Vendors from Our Preferred List

We provide a preferred vendor list including Palermo’s Bakery in Ridgefield Park, Pinho’s Bakery in Roselle, Harvey Video & Photography in Howell, JF Photography Studio in Cranford, Vintage & Noveau event management in Colonia, the Holiday Inn Clark Newark Area for guest accommodations, All Star Entertainment in Cranford, and SuperSounds DJs. Your dedicated coordinator communicates with all vendors so you don’t have to manage those conversations.

Locking in Details and Making Final Payments

At six months out, you’ll pay 50% of your balance and confirm your table linen and napkin color, LED lighting preferences, and seating cards. Our packages include these details along with a bridal suite. If you’re hosting a Friday or Saturday evening wedding, a liquor package is required.

Fourteen days before your wedding, we need your final guest count. Seven days before, everything must be paid in full. Your coordinator confirms all vendor details and timeline specifics during this final week.

Celebrating Your Wedding Day

On your wedding day, your ballroom is fully set with your chosen linens, LED lighting, and seating cards. Your coordinator is on site handling every detail. Your five hour celebration starts with cocktail hour while you take photos near our gazebo or at nearby Rahway River Park. Guests enjoy butler passed hors d’oeuvres and stationed displays before moving into the ballroom for your grand entrance.

The pasta course arrives first, followed by salad and your three selected entrées. Your wedding cake is cut and served with coffee and tea. The bar stays open for five hours, and when your last song plays, we handle breakdown while you leave as newlyweds.

We’ve hosted thousands of weddings with our scratch made cuisine and exceptional service.
